Q - What does Divine Self-Care mean to you?

Divine self-care means that I am living in congruence with my true essence and soul’s purpose right where I’m at. No matter if that means I’m wearing no makeup and barefoot, done up in heels, on top of a mountain taking pictures, or sitting on the beach journaling my mad thoughts. Divine self-care is loving myself for exactly who I am in every moment, whether that be pretty or not so much.

Q - Was there a time when you did not take care of YOU on all levels and how did it affect your life & business?

Yes! Unfortunately, a few years ago I had become so out of alignment with my own truth that I literally made myself ill.

When my hair started falling out I didn’t go to the doctor, I got hair extensions! When my body went into all systems fail and I was diagnosed with a range of autoimmune deficiencies, I took a hard look at the life and lifestyle I was living.

As it turned out I didn’t much like who I had become, but I didn’t even know who I wanted to be. What emerged from my new divine self-care practice was nothing less than a caterpillar turned into a butterfly. Now I have wings and freedom to be me! And a beautiful shapely butterfly body. Smile.

Q – What are your top 3 Divine Self-Care tips that women can incorporate into their lives?

Take your shoes off and touch your feet to the earth. Whether that’s in the grass in your backyard or in your neighborhood park or burying your feet in the sand at the beach or your local lake. I suggest at least twice a week spending 20 minutes with your feet or butt on the earth. We connect in a real way to the earth and its rejuvenation energies. We are not separate from the forces of nature, just as the earth cleanses and heals herself, so can our bodies cleanse and heal themselves just by plugging back into that system that we are an integral part of.

Don’t make yourself wrong for indulging! Smile. I absolutely love wine and cheese and cheese with wine. The less I make myself wrong for overindulging the more I am able to just indulge and enjoy with present consciousness and guess what? I feel better about myself, I feel more alive, as long as I don’t make myself wrong for doing something I “shouldn’t”, the pull to overindulge goes away.

Allow yourself to be seen without makeup. Allow your fresh face to be seen! Don’t hide your naturalness, don’t fear your beauty. Say good things to yourself, always.

Q - What’s something (fun, silly, surprising) that we can learn about you?

I have one tattoo! Its on the top of my right foot. People always look and ask, what does that mean??? And I have to answer, “It means I turned 18 and went to the tattoo parlor and picked a tattoo off the wall and said give me one.” Ha ha ha. I wish that my tattoo was pretty and that it has some meaningful significance. And it does, just not in the way I would want it to as the purposeful adult woman I have become. At the time it meant I was pushing boundaries and being fearless, I still like to do those things, but now in more thoughtful ways.
