When I met a woman at a fancy business networking event in Santa Monica, California and she told me she guided sacred journeys to the Andes I knew I was going with her.

Two months later she greeted my friend and I at the airport in Lima Peru in a white gown and feathers in her hair, and whisked us off to a cafe to have coco tea before getting on the next plane to Cusco where we would be based during our week long adventure exploring the ancient ruins and participating in ancient traditional ceremonies.

I had studied ancient cultures in college and spent an entire semester studying Incan culture, but I hadn't entertained this area of the world since college, and that had been over a decade ago.

Our residence in Cusco was down a tiny cobblestone and dirt one lane road. When we walked through the gate at the entrance, and it opened up to this stunning interior courtyard, I was taken aback by the juxtaposition of riches and poverty.

One evening in the manicured courtyard of our residence, the moon was full in the sky, and there were lit candles hanging in the trees all around us.

Behind us, the statue of Cristo Blanco was lit up on the mountain top. I hadn't known what to expect from this journey, but this place was turning me from the inside out.

I had no idea such beauty existed on earth, in Peru, the people, the mountains, the food...

The peace.

I felt at peace with life, my world, who I was, who I wasn't. I was just being.

The beautiful city of Cusco, Peru

This bride appeared to us on the streets of Cusco after completing a ceremony where I released a past love and sent a prayer out to the Universe for partnership. As we were walking home we found a bouquet of flowers on the road. This is when I began to interpret the signs that appear to us in everyday life and when the dialogue with the Universe began to flow to me and through me.

We took the scenic train to visit the Lost City of the Incas and as we arrived early in the morning at Machu Picchu the clouds and morning mist obscured our vision.

We hiked to the Sun Gate and sat in meditation with eyes closed until the sun warmed us as the morning clouds dispersed.  My eyes could not believe the magnificence of the site before me.  The ancient city sat between the two mountains Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu, with extraordinary views of the Urubamba River and valleys below.

The terraced hillsides with the clouds and mountains behind them looked to me like a fantastical place from the future, not a 500 year old ancient and abandoned city.

Water poured from the Incan water temple as if its people had disappeared only moments before, in an instant like the clouds dispersing with the sunshine.

The message I received during my exploration of self, deeply living, and going beyond my fears into a fantastical reality of ancient wisdom and present awareness...

Creativity is the key to unlock the divine.

Anything is possible once we find our own unique way of connecting with our divine source. When you uncover the connection to your heart and your creative imagination the change you experience becomes visible, the internal shift creates the external visible effects.

Creativity is the key.  Self expression is the vehicle.

The moment, is this.
