The Shaman's Medicine Bag: Inyan Pejuta: Stone Medicine and Andean Energy Medicine

HealingChloë Rain

My medicine bag, placed on the Pachamama Altar in Machu Picchu Peru, along with a few of my healing stones, to receive the cleansing and blessings of the Great Spirit.

Shamanic Healing is based in love and compassion and it works for our complete and total wellness: mental, emotional, spiritual and physical. Deep in the jungles of the Southern continent the medicine people, for the past 500 years, have been using and carrying on the knowledge of the power of certain earth elements to heal disease and illness: emotional, physical, and inherited.

These Shamanic practices are used to help you heal and understand the meaning of your life.

In ancient healing traditions emotions were viewed as energies and were understood by the Shamans and used to accomplish many goals.

Emotions were valued as tools that were unique to humans, with which they could manifest new realities.

Both negative and positive emotions can be utilized. The experience of fear, for example, gives us an opportunity to confront, acknowledge, and transform our boundaries. And when we feel love we become powerful beyond measure. Those who feel love and give love are able to receive love in return and are able to accomplish any goal.

The Shamans believe there are two kinds of illnesses... some that are created by our daily behavior or habits and some that are family, environment or socially related.

Most sad and depressed people are more susceptible to illness, which can create a cyclical effect that feels never ending. Love, understanding and compassion are key for the successful healing of depression, disease, & illness: mental emotional, or physical.

Receive the healing wisdom of the stones.

After being initiated in the Pampamesayok Lineage of Andean Energy Medicine in Peru, I returned home to the Shenandoah Valley and received certification as a Stone Medicine Practitioner.  Then I spent a year immersed in training to become Inyan Mani or Stone Walker, a Native American Healing Art, as taught by my Elder.

This type of healing is helpful when:

  • You feel stuck and frustrated, stressed out and paralyzed by self-doubt and worry
  • Find yourself repeating unhealthy patterns
  • Keep reliving the past with little hope for the future
  • You have the life you always dreamed of but it does not bring the amount of joy you had anticipated.
  • You feel isolated, even amongst friends and colleagues
  • You are struggling with the fear of the unknown or you are in a place of not knowing what is next
  • You feel energetically connected to a person or situation from the past
  • Are seeking clarity for life purpose and body, mind, spirit wellness

In one of my last vision ceremonies in Peru, I was shown to start bringing people to the land, and combine my work as a Life Coach and shamanic practitioner here on the land in the Shenandoah Valley.

Using the teachings of my own personal initiations, and the teaching that have been imparted to me and the past seven years of coaching individuals to discover their Life Purpose, I am now offering one to one personalized Healing Retreats at Skywater Hollow Retreat in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia.

The techniques of Stone Medicine are not just intended to affect the physical body, but the emotions and the spirit as well. By clearing the body of negative energies and reconnecting it to the healing energies of the earth, the body's ability to heal itself is reestablished.

In Native American belief, the Stone Tribe holds the ancient wisdom of the world. They see stones as our historians, for all of evolution is recorded in fossils and geological activity that is evidenced in the Stone Tribe. Perhaps, through the practice of Stone Medicine, humanity can find a way to tap into some of that wisdom for the benefit of MITAKUYE OYASIN :"All My Relations."

The Stone Tribe continue to teach me, as I walk the Red road on Turtle Island & the Spirit of the Mountains, Apus, guide my path.  The pictures above were taken at the Temple of the Moon and Temple of the Monkey, in Cusco Peru. This rock is said to be the heart of Pachamama, a place to connect with Mother Earth and give offerings for blessings. Read more about the Condor & the Eagle Prophecy.

I am now offering in person healing ceremonies on our land, Skywater Hollow Retreat, in the Shenandoah Valley surrounded by the National Forest. Please come visit this beautiful place and receive the medicine of the Earth and receive your birth right of wellness!

A new mentorship program, deep healing for life purpose :The Wisdom of the Four Directions for those souls ready to fully heal their emotional and spiritual bodies and birth their life purpose into the world in right relationship with vocation, prosperity, and freedom.

If any of this has peaked your curiosity and you have questions about Grandmother Teacher Plant, my next journey to Peru, or you'd like to receive insight on your own next steps please reach out to me and get on my calendar! I would love to chat with you. Lots of love!

Mitakuye Oyasin - Aho Mitakuye Oyasin is a simple yet profound statement. It comes from the Lakota Nation and means 'all my relations'.

It is spoken during prayer and ceremony to invite and acknowledge that we are all one. In the western world we interpret "To all my Relations" as a statement to our relatives or ancestors, however, its meaning is much greater and speaks to our connection with all of creation, plants, animals, creepy crawlies, dirt, the stars, the Universe, and beyond. That which is all life force and life force energy.

When the earth is ravaged and the animals are dying, a new tribe of people shall come unto the earth from many colors, classes, creeds and who by their actions and deeds shall make the earth green again. They will be known as the warriors of the rainbow.
